Thursday's post a day early...
I got nothin' today folks, so if you stopped by to reap some great and inspirational nugget of wisdom, you've come to the wrong blog. I've had a day of running around with two kids in tow, not too bad considering, but I didn't come up with anything witty, or inspirational or hope filled in my travels.
Tomorrow promises to be just as weird, I'm driving an older gentleman from our former church to the military hospital for an appointment. He would have to spend a couple of extra hours getting a pass to the post, so I'm picking him up and dropping him off instead. I'll sit and cross-stitch, or read, or twiddle my thumbs until the appointment is over and I can drive him home. Then off to the grocery store while the kids are at the sitter. Ahhh! The freedom of it all!
I had this saved on my computer for such a time as this, when funny is just not happenin', spiritual insight has gone out the window and intelligence is nowhere to be found. So here it is: If I were a shoe...
If I were a shoe, I’d be Birkenstocks, cause they are soooo comfy.
If I were a city, I wouldn’t be a city, I’d be a small town, population 3,000 or less. (I’d be Mitford, if it were real.)
If I were a season, I'd be Spring, new life, new growth, you bet!
If I were a car, I’d be a Suburban, cause it’s a tough truck, with classy style.
If I were a vegetable, I’d be edamame, Soy beans. (I know, weird.)
If I were a fruit, I’d be pineapple, sweet and tangy on the inside, but a prickly shell. Not that I have a prickly shell, you just have to get to know me in order to know how sweet I am.
If I were a color, I’d be fuchsia
If I were furniture, I’d be a wing back chair
If I were a song, I’d be “Chrome” by Trace Adkins.
If I were a country, I’d be Australia
If I were a beverage, I’d be a Grande decaf sugar-free vanilla non-fat latte with whip.
If I were clothing, I’d be jammies.
If I were weather, I’d be mostly sunny slight chance of rain.
If I were an animal, I’d be a duck-billed platypus
If I were a dessert, I’d be tiramisu.
If I were a plant, I’d be a ficus benjamina.
If I were a word, I’d be home.
