I have made some doilies in the past and if you use the really fine thread it is hard to keep tension on it.Not Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01450458967223521985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2191980962507769015.post-3232726589450179472012-02-21T11:38:52.155-08:002012-02-21T11:38:52.155-08:00It looks like a tension assembly and thread guide ...It looks like a tension assembly and thread guide from a sewing machine! My DH actually purchased it for me second-hand from a lady whose DH made it for her but she could no longer quilt due to health reasons. DH gave it to me for my birthday 2 years ago! :)

I love my Ted's Thumb thimble...you should try it! I've used the leather ones before, but the always wore out too soon. :( And they aren't cheap, either! Ted's will last a few years before wearing out! :)

LorettaLorettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07170601007421855433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2191980962507769015.post-797708764169667452012-02-21T08:14:45.382-08:002012-02-21T08:14:45.382-08:00Hi you have some beautiful old sewing stuffi there...Hi you have some beautiful old sewing stuffi there.
